The year marked the final stage of the Air Pollution Prevention and Control Action Plan, a milestone period for China's battle against air pollution. As the plan reached its closing year, enforcement efforts were significantly intensified to ensure that the prescribed targets were met.
Supervision teams carried out intensified inspections in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and surrounding areas, and measures such as production restrictions and temporary shutdowns were widely applied to heavily emitting enterprises during periods of heavy pollution.
Industries including steel, chemicals, cement and building materials were most directly affected. Their production schedules were adjusted according to emission control requirements, and some capacity that failed to meet standards was steadily phased out.
Enterprises faced growing pressure to invest in environmental retrofitting and to reach emission compliance. Those without adequate treatment facilities could not maintain normal operation, while qualified enterprises gained relatively stable market space.
This situation also drove up demand for environmental protection equipment such as welding fume purifiers and waste gas treatment systems. As part of our equipment trade business, we supply such products for welding and grinding workshops in manufacturing enterprises.
In the long term, the adjustment will accelerate the transformation of high-emission industries toward cleaner production. Environmental compliance will no longer be a temporary requirement but a basic condition for sustainable operation.
